That was the question we aimed to answer with two quirky, animated commercials for Bank BPH. And the result? Even kids started asking their parents about interest rates—because they wanted their own cuddly, furry creatures. Strange? Maybe. But undeniably effective.

The challenge was clear: turn a dry, often misunderstood concept into something relatable, engaging, and yes—fun. That’s where our fuzzy characters came in. These adorable creatures, lovingly designed to personify the concept of interest rates, quickly captured the hearts of viewers.

Each animation told a simple, relatable story about managing finances. But instead of boring statistics or dry explanations, the commercials used humor, charm, and a touch of whimsy. The creatures’ playful antics made interest rates feel approachable—even lovable.

Designing Characters That Connect

As the Animation Director and Character Designer, my goal was to create creatures that felt alive—endearing yet a little mischievous. Every tuft of fur, every exaggerated movement, was carefully crafted to evoke emotion and, most importantly, make people remember the message.

Their rounded shapes and expressive faces were inspired by classic animation styles but modernized to resonate with today’s audiences. They were quirky, relatable, and had just enough personality to make you think, “Hey, maybe interest rates aren’t so bad after all.”
