Fighting Fake News

We live in a time when fake news infiltrates our daily lives. These false narratives distort reality, sow distrust, and have tangible social consequences. To address this growing issue, the FakeHunter platform was created—a public tool allowing anyone to verify the credibility of the information they read. While we were not responsible for creating the platform itself, we took on the challenge of designing an impactful campaign to raise awareness and encourage its use.

Celebrities as Ambassadors

The cornerstone of our campaign strategy was finding well-known ambassadors who could authentically share their personal experiences with fake news. We collaborated with celebrities such as Agnieszka Kaczorowska and Edyta Herbuś, who bravely opened up about the devastating impact of misinformation in their lives.

Kaczorowska shared how fabricated stories led to online hate and judgment, while Herbuś detailed how rumors negatively affected both her personal and professional life. These powerful testimonials resonated with the public, showing the human cost of fake news. Their stories were shared on their social media channels and in interviews, amplifying the campaign’s reach and impact.

Other prominent personalities also contributed, using their platforms to spread awareness and emphasize the importance of verifying information before believing or sharing it.

Campaign Strategy

Our role was to ensure the campaign effectively communicated the dangers of fake news while promoting the FakeHunter platform as a solution. We focused on:

  • Authenticity: Using real stories from relatable public figures to create an emotional connection with the audience.
  • Social Media Reach: Celebrities shared their testimonials across various platforms, reaching millions of followers.
  • Media Interviews: Ambassadors appeared in interviews to discuss their experiences and promote the FakeHunter initiative.
